History of Love selected by 53°Karlovy Vary IFF!

History of Love by Sonja Prosenc will be part of the most important Film Festival of Oriental Europe: the film is in the Official Selection of Karlovy Vary IFF, Czech Republic (June 29-7 July 2018).


After the death of her mother, the daughter discovers her mother’s secret past, and submerges herself in a world completely different from the one she is used to in order to come to terms with her new reality.


The film, shot for the most of the days in Friuli Venezia Giulia in summer 2017, saw the main character Iva, performed by the young Doroteja Nadrah, flanked from the Norwegian Kristoffer Joner, known for his interpretation of Murphy in The Revenant by Iñàrritu.


History of Love is the first co-production between Slovenia, Italy, and Norway.
